Terms

Last updated 30 September 2026.

These terms cover your use of this website and any work we do for you. "We", "us" and "Sightline" mean Sightline 3D Walkthroughs, Auckland, New Zealand. "You" means the person or business using the site or booking us. By using the site or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms.

1. Using this website

You can browse the site, walk the demo tours and share links to them. Please don't copy, scrape, reframe or resell the site's content, tours or images, or use them to train software, without our written permission. The site, our logo and our own images belong to us.

We try to keep the site accurate and working, but prices, examples and availability can change, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. Prices shown are estimates until we send you a written quote.

Some parts of the site use other services, such as the tour viewer, the booking calendar and payments. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what you do in them.

2. Quotes and bookings

We quote in writing, based on the floor area and what you want delivered. A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote (a reply by email is enough) and we agree a capture date. If the space turns out much bigger or more complex than described, we'll tell you before we start and agree any change in price with you.

3. Permission to capture

By booking, you confirm that you own the property or have the owner's permission, and that anyone living or working there, including tenants, knows it will be captured and has agreed. You're responsible for getting that permission; we can pause or cancel a capture if it isn't in place.

4. On the day

Please have the space ready as you'd want it seen: tidy, clean, lights on, blinds set how you like them, and people and pets out of the rooms being captured. Put away anything private, such as documents, photos, screens and valuables. We capture what we see; we don't edit out clutter or objects afterwards unless we've agreed to.

We'll take care in your space. Let us know about anything fragile, rooms that are off limits, alarms or access instructions before we arrive.

5. What we deliver

Depending on your package: a walkable 3D tour delivered as a link, and media made from the same capture, such as a walkthrough video, vertical reel, still images, a floor plan and 360 images. We usually deliver within 2–3 working days of the capture and will tell you if it will take longer.

Tours, floor plans and other media show the space as captured. They are not to scale and are not a measured survey: don't rely on them for floor areas, dimensions or boundaries, and don't present them as measurements in marketing.

6. Payment

We invoice after the capture, and the tour goes live once the invoice is paid. Invoices are due within 7 days unless your quote says otherwise. No GST is charged while we are not GST-registered; if that changes, we'll tell you before quoting.

7. Cancelling or moving a booking

You can cancel or reschedule for free with at least 24 hours' notice. With less notice, or if we arrive and can't capture because the space isn't ready or we can't get in, a fee of 20% of the quoted price applies. If you've already paid and then cancel, we keep 20% and refund the rest. If we have to cancel, we'll rebook at a time that suits you or refund anything you've paid.

8. Hosting

We host your tour so the link keeps working. Property listings: included until the property sells, plus 30 days. Holiday homes: the first month is included. Businesses and venues: the first 12 months are included. After that, the tour comes down unless you keep it up at the hosting price shown on the site or in your quote. We'll remind you before anything is taken down. We may move tours between hosting providers; we'll keep your link working where we can.

9. Who owns what

The owner of the property owns the tour and media we deliver, once the invoice is paid. If you're an agent or property manager, you may use them to market the property. We keep the right to host and deliver them, and we own the tools, methods and software we use to make them.

10. Showing our work

You give us a permanent, free licence to use the tour and media for our own promotion and case studies. Before we publish anything, we remove the street address and anything that identifies where the property is. If you'd rather we didn't use your space at all, tell us before the capture and we'll agree that in writing.

11. 360 images on Google

Our 360 images are made from the 3D scan. Google decides what it publishes on Maps. If Google won't accept them, we refund the 360-image part of the price.

12. If something goes wrong

If you're not happy with what we deliver, tell us within 14 days and we'll fix it, recapture or refund, as fits the problem. We're not responsible for delays or problems caused by things outside our control, such as weather, access, or outages at the services we rely on.

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the price you paid for it, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or profit.

13. Your rights under New Zealand law

If you're booking us as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you're booking us for business purposes (for example as an agent, property manager, holiday-home or venue business), you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply, and that sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act do not apply, to the extent the law allows and it is fair and reasonable.

14. Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

15. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you accept a quote applies to that job. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
